Buying a used Bendpak 4 post lift.. advice needed.

Got a lead on a used Bendpak 4 post lift..

Its disassembled, so I cant test it.
It looks like an older unit, possibly an HD-12, and it would need service and painting, which I can handle.

Is it worth looking at?
If so, what kinda value does it have?

Any opinions welcome.

I have an HD-9 , but I bought it new, I guess I would make sure it is complete, parts are easy to get , hoses are 15.00 each , have a look in the oil reservoir and see if it's clean , mine Brand new was $3k , then I added the rolling jack. How much is this thing. Ron

Price is under discussion... seller said about 800... obviously less would be better and wise if something is bad.

Depends on your area. I would talk to a few of the lift seller/installer/service places and look for a used deal that doesn't need service assembly and testing before you know what its worth. $800 I would like to see it working, but it depends on your local market. Here in SoCal at least a year or so ago when I was looking used lifts sold for scrap prices.

Not sure where your at but check out www.gregsmithequipment.com they have good deals on lifts. A co worker turned me on them after he got a lift. Im eyeing a mid rise lift from them.
