Buying a Used Snap On Solus Pro

Hey everyone I have been doing searches but the majority of the threads seem pretty old as I know this is an older scanner.
I have a chance to buy a used Snap On Solus Pro scan tool No Euro which is fine for me. This scan tool is updated to 17.2 (Last Update) A co worker has had this tool for a while spent 1k to update it a year ago but then when he had an issue with trying to reprogram a CPS on a vehicle and asked the truck guy about a glitch the truck guy said its old and he cant do anything with them now, so co worker ended up buying a new scanner off the truck. Dealer wont take this on trade and had it rolling around on his truck for a few months trying to sell with no bites I got told to take the solus pro home try it and see what I think.

Question is what are these even worth since SO has zero support for them anymore
What would be a good price to offer on this?
everything I work on is older than 2010 and this would be a at home scan tool for myself

I paid $400 for one a few years ago to have laying around at home, it's outdated but does everything I've needed it to do.

I had a solus pro maybe 5 years ago? Ended up selling it on craigslist for 500 bucks or something. It's slow, and multiple graphs on 1 screen get crowded quick. Decent unit, I just outgrew it and it needed updated anyway. They guy I sold it to had older cars, no update required.

Look on Ebay, imo that's local market value plus 20% or so. Why 20%? Because Ebay always has one and can get it to you, local means waiting.

Thanks I’m thinking around the $400-500 range is what I’d pay. I played with it last night in the demo vehicle yes it’s slow for sure. I had to turn the brightness way up and contrast down to see decently on the screen. This unit is what I’d call “beat up” the owner takes care of nothing the power cord is chewed by mice but still working I saw a new one from SO is $50
Like I said I know it’s outdated but it’s 10x better than my Mac task master I currently own
