Nepros sell their tools direct.

Order them online from their website and they will be shipped directly from Japan.

Prices are in US Dollars, but probably 95% of their sales are in the US so not surprising!

You've probably picked the worst day of the decade to make this purchase though!!

I've ordered my Nepros items from Franks Tools.

If you cannot see what you want on the website, he can special order for you.
Really helpful, good communications and quick, well packaged deliveries.

Frank is a member on here and I believe started the thread on Tools of Japan.

Thanks for the reply just had a look at the nepros website will their be any customs charges on top coming all the way from japan? Should I wait a bit for the exchange rate to go down before I buy???

There will almost certainly be customs charges on goods imported from Japan.

Items with a declared value of > £15.00GBP will incur VAT, and additionally the carrier will then add their "handling fee" on top of this.

Who knows what the exchange rate is going to do?
:dunno:
At least with ordering Nepros you're getting high quality for the (high) price!

For all anyone knows the exchange rate may be the most favourable the day the OP buys. Sure one can moan and groan about the past ( woulda coulda shoulda) Tools are tools, not investment instruments. The best day to buy tools is just before one needs them !!!

Nepros ship by Fedex, who 'helpfully' (not) collect any duty owing and charge you a handling fee for doing so!

Don't mind the duty but the handling fee pisses me off!

Best to make a reasonable size order and request that it's shipped in one package! If one item is out of stock you will have to wait, but better than being stuck with two handling fees!

Yes, I'd wouldn't buy with the present exchange rate! It's just taken a mega dive so bound to improve!
