Buying race deck direct or through vendor?

Many times the direct sale is SRP and with some items it's cheaper to get from a vendors dealer..
is this the case here??

I figured it be an easy way to make a checkered flag floor for my hobby room in basement.. but ouch..
I can diy tile it for much less .. more labor but..

Which one of their tiles are you looking at? how is the floor used?
