Buying tools in the Philippines

A few months ago I bought some Koken ratchets (3/8" and 1/2") to work on my car restoration project and I'm hooked. I bought it from a distributor here in the US and really have no complaints other than it took almost 2 months to get them.

Fast forward to now and my wife is making a trip to the Philippines and was wondering if there is a dealer there (City of San Fernando, Pampanga Province) that sold Koken or Nepros or KTC. I'm sure Snap-On is there but probably the same price as here. I'm looking for some sockets and the 1/4" ratchet.

Have currently Craftsman but I break them right and left and I'm tired of going to town and have them swapped out.:lol_hitti

Thanks!

Hey there mercifiknow. I went to visit the Philippines for the first time last august and was looking for some "cheaper priced" brand named tools. I found out that Snap-on does have a office there but dont know if they actually sell tools, although the prices are mostly the same and is listed as a sales office. Here's their address:

PHILIPPINES
Snap-on Tools

Makati City, Philippines 1234
Ph: (63/2) 843-7935

I found a few websites for shops in the Philippines also, at some point I was going to ask. Has anyone used BelmontDepot? They sell "New Aigo", which I need to find out whether it is new old stock, or if someone has nabbed the brand name for something new. Would love to complete my Aigo wrench set!

I have not had much luck finding quality tools at a good price in the Philippines. My friends that are still there usually have those of us in the states ship tools and other quality products they have to pay a premium price for there. I mostly have come across cheap chinese tools. The import taxes also raise the price on most items coming in to the country.

Sorry I hadn't replied back...I've been busy with work and my family leaving. Anyways, I had trouble finding places as well. I noticed that some on here travel to Asia and hoped someone had been to the Philippines and knew.

I only saw SO and there isn't really a discount going that route to warrant the hassle. I will just buy online and go from there.

Thanks!

You might check out Frankstools.com too. I've only bought from him once, but because he uses USPS (Believe he's on a military base?). It only took 1 week for my order to arrive. Where as other japanese sellers like on rakuten will often cite 4-6 weeks+
