Buzzing circuit breaker

I was near my electrical box (fuse panel) in my new home when my wife fired up the electric dryer.

Upon motor start up the lights in the room momentarily dimmed and the circuit breaker made a momentary audible buzz.

It didn't trip the breaker, it only buzzed for a moment.

Do I have a long term problem or should I ignore the buzz?

Thanks,
Spud.

Remove breaker, replace and check the main buss bar and make sure it's not been arcing on it. If its been arcing on the bus bar, move breaker to an empty spaces or move some lighter loads to that spot on the breaker buss. Use higher quality breakers from an electrical supply house rather than big box. They should be a higher grade breaker.

I've seen arc fault breakers buzz like crazy that are now code for bedroom circuits in my area. But a normal breaker shouldn't make any noise that I'm aware of.

The builders put them in to pass and tell the homeowners if they keep tripping just have an electrician come swap them with regular breakers..
