I've got a buzz in radio, florescent light, changed ballast twice, bulbs, even the fixture, even got a strip that has rf filter. if I unplug the light bye bye buzz. the radio is next. I have 9 other fixtures in garage. the old kenwood stereo works okay. the light is over the work bench! any solutions would be great.

I solved this problem by getting rid of my radio. If your radio is important to you, you can consider getting rid of the light. If not, dump the radio like I did.

Way, way back when, I had a similar problem in my car. Well, the only similarity was the buzz. Went to a Radio Shack (I hate to refer to them, but they are the only source for many) and got a 1:1 transformer and put it in line with the power line leading to the radio. Killed the buzz. Have you tried a modern antenna. Are you getting it on AM or FM, I'll bet the former. Moving the radio away from the florescent, replace the nearby florescent with something else (LED, halogen, incandescent, coal oil torch).

Dave.
