I'm not sure what the "L" shaped thing is in the first photo, and the third photo doesn't enlarge, so I don't know what that is, but I have a similar cleaning system that works great. Mine uses the pressurized aerosol cans of cleaner that are available at NAPA (you'll likely need to have them ordered; my local stores no longer stock them). There should be an adapter to fit and tap the can that looks like one for a freon can. You attach the hose from the can to the gauge and then from the gauge to the test port on the fuel rail. You need to disconnect and plug the return line and disconnect the fuel pump wiring (or pull the fuel pump fuse, so long as your pump fuse doesn't also power the injectors or something else critical). Now tap the can, watch the pressure come up on the gauge, and start the engine. Simply run the engine until the pressure in the can gets too low (the engine will stall out). You may want to shake the can to maintain pressure. Reconnect everything and you're done. Also, carefully note which way the can is supposed to be oriented (top up or down) when you're using it. They come both ways and if you have it the wrong way, all the pressure will leak out before the cleaning fluid.

DO NOT ask me how I know this...

thank you so much! on the regulator it has the female connector and theres a puncture pin in the center, so i figured it was the pressurized aerosol can type. Now you say i need an adapter for it or can i just screw the can right to the bottom of the regulator?
