For what's it's worth, I was at my local Ace Hardware last week. They had the Craftsman clear handles plus a lot more of the other CM screwdrivers.

I don't think Sears will be in business much longer anyway, so I don't think Sears selling CM tools will matter much. Or S/B&D can put "Craftsman Professional" on the tools they produce, so people will know to avoid the crappy CM tools at the Sears locations.

Today, I was at Ace Hardware and they said they sell Craftsman now.

Guess I was wrong... well, kinda...

I stopped by Sears this afternoon and found clear handles MADE IN CHINA. They are being sold as individuals, no Made In USA markings. You can tell the difference in the red and blue colors as well as the metal shaft. FYI.

I never would have guessed, and by Christmas none the less...

My ACE had a good selection of individual screwdriver. I think they were the older ones (clearer handles).

Sears always has Craftsman screwdriver set on sale at Christmas. Good bang for the buck !

There is a chain of hardware/lawn-garden stores on the West Coast and in Florida named OSH. Orchard Supply Hardware. I like them a lot, and they really have a good hardware selection. They have lots of Craftsman clear-handle screwdrivers as singles and in combo packs. I just bought some last week. Another handle-sniffer here.
