After browsing on this site and seeing all the nice tools and shops, I decided to freshen up some of my own stuff. I started out with some old Wilton C clamps. I didn't take any before pics., but they were very well used and rusty. Pair of Wilton 4406's and a single 408.

Nice work on the clamps! I've done a few myself figuring they were better than anything made offshore. They get pounded in a weld shop, but for most other jobs it just seems to make the job go better with well maintained tools.

Would you mind sharing the steps you went through to get to such a beautiful result?
Electrolysis?
Wire wheel?
Vinegar?
Commercial rust remover solution like evaporust?

Paint colors? One of them looks like Rustoleum Verde Green. What’s the other color? It looks great!

Thanks!

I used an assortment of wire wheels on my angle grinder removing any rust and/or old paint, stripping it to bare steel. And then finished it up with a wire wheel on the bench grinder. I then wiped everything down with paint thinner before paint.

The paint colors are Rustoleum Verde green on the matched pair, and on the single clamp I used Valspar satin leafy rise followed by satin clear. I tried to color match the original paint that was on clamps the best I could.

Again, those came out great! Thanks for all the details.

Have you ventured into doing the same for vises?

No problem, and thanks for the encouraging comments. Yes, I have done a couple vises so far.
