I'm looking for any information on this press. All I have is a name plate, C.H. Gosiger machinery co. and a U.S.A.F. plate.

Anybody know where to start?

Gosinger was a machinery dealer.

The machine is an early Edlund drill press. Interestingly enough, this Edlund was also sold by Gosinger!

Very good! Thank you, that's the one. Any more information on it. Know anybody selling the manual or parts, etc.

Edit: Any idea of the model no. I can't find one yet on the machine.

Thanks again,

Edlund was bought out by Monarch in the mid 1960's IIRC. I got the manual for my 1-1/2 F12 from them. They may or may not have a manual for a machine that old.

As far as parts go, you're on your own!

Nice machine! Certainly looks stout!

I've always wondered why some of these old drill presses, such as this one, had such short spindle-to-post clearances. This one doesn't appear to have much more than 8"-10" (ie., a 16" or 20" drill press). Considering the bulk and sheer sturdiness of these, it would seem they could have been built with more clearance; hence, more versatility.

I really like how it is "transitional"... Kind of shows the link between a camelback and a modern press.

Thanks for showing it!
