I'd like to know how to take apart my ratchet # 9 43797, 1/2 dr., round head with spinner wheel and tripod-shaped reversing lever. I bought it sometime between '87 and '93.

It makes a lot of noise, so, I'd like to lube it with some Merk Red, which I bought today and have already used on my Facom ratchet with good results. Thanx, john.

Just got it back together! At first I couldn't see the split in the metal ring on the bottom, but, after that it wasn't too bad getting it apart. It's a lot quieter now.

Hi John - the tri-wings aren't the most technically advanced ratchets out there; in fact they are considered rather primitive, but they're generally bullet proof and easy to maintain. They're great "road kit" ratchets. Glad ya got it back working good.
