C Man Score, How'd I do?

After being out of the mechanics scene for 25 years and being I have only mis-matched sets with a lot of missing sizes I made a deal on these raised panel C-man tools. About 250 pieces in all. I have no idea if I got rooked or not but at least it's a fairly complete set. What do you think? I paid $135.00 for all of it at a junk shop and it's like new with only 1 or 2 pieces missing like the 5/8 swivel socket that you can see my old rusty one in it's place.

It doesn't maybe seem like the greatest deal ever but I don't think you got ripped off.

I think you did very well. a little over 50 cents each for impacts, swivels and Craftsman Pro.

Not a bad score. What series are those new sockets? In the pic it actually looks chrome than some of the newer stuff that has a tint to the chrome.

Nice. You did well. Plenty of people here would have snatched that haul in a heartbeat, including me, and I already have most of that stuff.

Thanks for the positive comments. I like having full sets anyway so I'm greatful for that. When I 1st scooped these I mentioned them on another thread but I didn't have a digital camera and I do now so here's a photo of the "ST" stamp that's on most the stuff except the ratchets and polished wrenches.

2oolhound,

The ST code indicates they are Canadian Craftsman tools. Best I can tell, these tools are made in China or Taiwan. At least that's what our Canadian brothers have told me.

I'm not dissing your tool purchase, just telling you what the ST code implies. Thought you might like to know. I have found a couple of ST sockets in Texas pawn shops and flea markets. They are fairly rare down here, but appear to be well made sockets.

EDIT: Just noticed you live in Canada. I feel stupid now...

There is no shame in that deal you got. Lots of tools at just over .50 cents each........
A Canadian Craftsman tool has the same warranty as a USA Craftsman tool.........

.50 each in my part of the world is a screaming deal.

No way I would have passed that up

Canadian, chinese, wherever, I'd still ****** those up in a heart beat

Nice set with a good basic range of items and sizes.

Nice to see someone score on a complete (or nearly) set too
