Picked up a vise in a yard sale. It has 3 3/4" wide jaws, swivel base. Not sure what 22x represents? Looks to be in decent shape but missing the lock down mechanism. Didn't give much for it, so I thought I could locate the parts its missing? Anyone have the wedge, locking bolt and wrench from a broken parker vise they want to sell? Thanks everyone! :)

This 22X was mine for a very short time recently..........sniff.
I'm guessing late 20's-early 30's.
3 3/4" jaw, Original finish, unworn, undamaged, factory tight and barely used.

I see the ring on the left but I don't see that important small piece the swivel bolt goes into that tightens that ring. Unless one of the GJ members have a Parker Parts vise You might need a machinist to make that piece. Both edges on that small piece have to be angled so it seats properly when its all the way up. Nice vise!

Somewhere back in the pages of Vises of Garage Journal thread, someone took an old orange 22x and turned it into one of my top favorite finished vises. I can't remember who did it but he would be the guru to help you out. If you don't mind checking the pages from about April of this year to about June....you might see who it was. That is definitely a nice old Parker from their "crazy numbering" days in the 20's and earlier.

That would be correct on the missing parts.

The wedge is an easy make out of CR steel bar stock, some time with a hack saw, and some patience with a file; drill and tap. You can use any bolt temporarily, and the appropriate wrench and you have it working again.

I have two Parkers, and the smaller one I use 99% of the time is the 4" 974, almost the size of yours.
