C purlin carport overhang?

Hi I’m looking to build a carport on the side of my house. The construction will be 8 in c purlin and receiver channel. My question is that where I thought I would have a post there is a power utility line underground. I’m wondering if I can overhang a 14 gauge 8” x 2.5” @ 20’ receiver channel to avoid having a post (red in the sketch). The carport will attach to the house which is slump block. 12 ft of receiver channel would attach to house with masonry bolts, 8 ft would overhang. Does this sound feasible?

Without doing any calcs, I don't like it. I've never tried to ruin a cantilevered receiver channel, so I am having to imagine.

Receiver channels are strictly designed for tying the ends of components together and providing attachment points for sheeting. They are not designed for structural support. That doesn't mean it won't work but with the unreinforced flange it doesn't have structural integrity.
