I know there has been a lot of discussion of different cabinets that people use in the garage, but I prefer the IKEA 30x36 cabinets because they are cheap (around $100) and very sturdy. The downside is they look like kitchen cabinets and don't have that garage feel to them. So, what I did was to scan some old Hot Rod magazine covers from the 50's and 60's and had Staples blow them up to about an 18" width on glossy paper to cover the cabinet door.

Cool idea!

I have the same ones in my garage and in my laundry room. They work well, and easy to install, and very strong!

albaran that's an ingenious idea. I like it! I'm also curious what Staples charges you to make those posters.

I had this, and a few others, done in waterproof vynle for about $30. It is about 18" high and 24" across.

I am thinking about something like that for some of my cabinets, now that he led the way!

Staples charged around $20 per sheet (on glossy paper) and I attached them with the 3m removable sticky squares.
