cabinet doors

while building my own doors for the cabinets in the garage i came across an interesting dilema, is there an easy way to line-up and hang these doors/hinges, Hard to hold - mark - and install with just 2 hands, do i put them on the doors first or put them on the cabinets first ???????? what about a board across the bottom to rest the doors on just to line up everything ? " basically how do i hang my doors "

If you're not working with a 32 mm boring pattern, your best bet is to make a jig that gives you the reveal you're looking for, from the bottom of the cabinet.

I have been a custom cabinet builder most of my life. I use the tool at the bottom of the page in the link. Just click my link and then click TOOLS.
Mine is older and made from aluminum. You could buy or make something similar.
Can also use a spacer block clamped onto the bottom rail of the cabinet opening.

Mount the doors while you have the cabinets on the ground, make sure to build/use some sort of jig to have proper alignment.

Also look into adjustable hinges, they allow z-x-y axis adjustments. Ikea actually sells a lot of random hardware including their hinges which are pretty amazing for the >$2 you can get them for.

After you have them mounted exactly the way you want, take the door off and mount the boxes on the wall. If you havent located your studs I would do that first, if you havent put up the drywall I would highly consider using "backing". This is where you put plywood (not MDF) in between the studs, allowing you to screw in anywhere.
