This is a silly question but I honestly cant remember what the stuff is that cabinet makers use on top of wood. It comes in different colors-even wood grain. My desk at work is coated in it and I have some cabinets that I got for free that are covered in it. I think it is applied using heat and you cut the edges with a router. I need to buy some and try to repair the sides of a couple of the cabinets. I just cant recall what it is called. :eyecrazy:

Hmm--I guess I need to just go look at the stuff in person. Its really thin almost like plastic.

It's called laminate , Formica, wilsonart ect. Are name brands of that product. It's glued on with contact cement , and there is an art to handeling the bigger sheets. Not to be confused with laminate floors. Lol
