Cabinet recommendations? (Lowes, HD, Menards, etc)

I have about 13' of wall space that I would like to fill with base and overhead cabinets. I've looked at the cheap finish-it-yourself ones at Lowes, and the price on them isn't too bad. I'd paint them inside and out, in hopes that they would last quite a while. I'd like to build a nice butcher block-type workbench for the top of them too.

Anyone have a recommendation on where I should look? Or, are they all pretty much the same no matter where you go?

I've been looking on CL for months, and can't find anything (Omaha's CL isn't that popular, apparently).

Any recommendations?

Our local Lowes puts out damaged items Sat and Sun mornings, I have picked up 10 cabinets for next to nothing like the $150 cabinets for $20 and I have only had to replace higes on a few or re nail a back or two. Ask some of the employees if they have damaged stock and when they put it out.

I bought all new cabinets about 2 years ago. For wall cabinets I caught the Craftsman charcoal grey all-metal cabinets on sale, and bought about 8 of them. But for bottom cabinets I found that it was actually cheaper to buy matching Craftsman tool chest cabinets (just the bottom sections). Sears always seems to have one tool chest or another on sale, and usually they are in separate sale prices for each of three pieces. You can buy whatever, so I bought only the bottom cabinets. They fit under my workbench, and then if I need to get behind them or to use one of them as a roll-around tool cart, it's easy to do so. I'll take pix tonight to show you.
