I picked up some new gladiator cabinets, and before I put them to use I want to install some kind of shelf liner to protect the paint. I know what you're thinking, "tool polisher"
. Anyway, I have been leaning toward thin indoor/outdoor carpeting. I like this idea, but I'm having trouble finding a good way to hold it in place. I've also considered adhesive contact paper, but I like the carpeting better. Of course, I could also use drawer liner, but that's a bit more expensive. I'm open to other suggestions as well
If I go with the carpeting, I would like whatever I use to hold it down to be removable in the future, should I decide to replace or remove it. I could go with velco, magnetic strips, double sided tape, or something else. Any ideas on this?
I'm hoping to get this done tomorrow, so I'm looking for items that can be sourced locally!
