Cabinets for Trailers?

To keep this some what garage related, I'll ask my question this way.....;)

I just purchased an enclosed trailer and want to put some cabinets in the front. I know there are several dedicated trailer cabinet sites out there, but they are really expensive.

Can anyone point me in the right direction on where I could get some cabinets that dont weigh a ton and still look good?

I could then use that recommendation for cabinets in my current garage project.;)

thanks

Cabinets for enclosed trailers, IMO, would need to be a bit stronger than conventional shop storage units. There's going to be flex, movement, etc., with the trailer. That said, I would want secure doors, which would not open during travel, and possible inside straps to keep items from bouncing around.

Look at some motorhomes and you'll get some ideas for solutions to some of the possible choices maybe. Bill

the actual trailer cabints are specifically made to attach well to the trailer and use the trailer as added structure to the cabinet to save weight
all that high end stuff is big bucks

a friend that does shetmetal work made a set a few years back that were built into the trialer and were setup as workbench cabinets along the sides of the trailer that the car was then intended to park up on
this gave storage in the center isle for misc stuff when transporting and also gave the ability to work under the car if needed (although the room for that was tight)

I built my own. And as stated above they need to be extra tough. Trailers ride fairly smooth but as said they twist and flex. I'll try to post some pics later >>>>.
