I have a set of Klein 9 1/2" HL cable cutters, and a matching one from HF (40507). As can be expected, the difference is night and day. The HF ones get very tight when open more than half way, their opening is smaller, and the edge is cut at a less sharp angle, which makes it more difficult to cut copper. Still, I keep the HF cable cutter at work, and it is usable. The good thing, is this is plenty capable of cutting battery cables, and you'll kind of feel better if someone walks off with it.
The same cannot be said for the crimper.
The Klein KLE1005 I have is the best crimper I've ever used (although it does not have the cable cutter that the SO one has, and isn't made for battery terminals.
The HF (36411) model is worthless.
A friend recently bought the HF hydraulic wire crimper (66150). For the one project he needed it for, it was quite usable, and I think you could put it to good use crimping battery cables. My Klein crimper isn't really good for any cables over 12 gauge, but this can put reasonably good crimps on 2 gauge without a huge amount of effort.
