I would stay away from the astro pair,a pile of junk.I have an astro pair and have been replaced twice, the ratcheting mechanism stripped out and could pull it apart real easy.

I have the Craftsmen. They work well enough and have a piece included to crimp on if the cable breaks.

Correct, that issue has been improved upon.
The problem was with the previous version, but it wasn't a persistent issue, just happened to come up in a few cases.

The blue and black ones that your purchased are the new and improved (since about 4 months ago)

Hey guys just wanted to give an update. I ended up going with the astro pair. I just got them delivered yesterday. Didn't get a chance to use them yet but they seem very beefy and quality is there.

Those look nice. I've been wanting to get a set for professional use. Could you post up a picture of the end that actually squeezes the clamp?

And does anyone have the Snap-On part number for the pliers that were listed earlier? I'm not having any luck finding one on their website. Thanks.

Thanks. That was exactly what I was wanting to look at. Do the ends close completely up? Have you had a chance to use them yet? If so, how did you like them?

Sorry for all of the questions, and thanks again for posting the pictures.
