I purchased an installation kit for CPANL 2x4' LED panels with support for 0-10V dimmer PAC 2DF 36. The kit contains griplock hanging system and a 3' long 5-conductor electrical cable with a white jacket that has printed items like 18 awg, 300V, 105 deg C, looks like the cable in the following link.

The electrician asked me to purchase cable to do the run from a dimmer up to the lights and I'm not sure what exactly I should by. I've emailed him but he's pretty busy so looking for some advice here.

I would think ideally if this is on a 15A run, the power should be 14 awg, and the dimmer would be 16 awg (based on searching for dimmer cable by itself), but finding that combination in a single power/dimmer cable doesn't seem to exist.

I can get a 18/5, 16/5, or 12/5 from cablemasterpowercords, but there is a big price jump to 12/5, which is overboard for my rinky dink shed.

I can get 14/5 from https://www.wireandcableyourway.com/14-5-sjtow-portable-cord-300v-ul-csa

Getting 14/5 is the safest since all conductors will be matched against breaker rating, but is that overkill since the PAC 2DF 36 kit came with a 18/5 cable?

I might be overthinking it, but what power/dimmer cable should I be getting? It's basically just 2 CPANL 2x4' LED panels connected to a WSX-D dimmer than runs to the panel.

Ok, I think I found it called "Southwire Romex SIMpull NM-B-PCS Duo 200-ft 14/2 Solid Non-Metallic Wire".

I think this will work. Thanks for clearing a path through the haze!
