They are great little units. I bought the twin aluminum tank model last year from Home Depot on specail for around $175. It is whisper quiet, just like in the video. It replaced a large vertical tank Sears Crapsman that was loud enough to wake the dead.

They are indeed very quiet. I also think the build quality on them is pretty nice at least as far as competitively priced compressors. The only downside is the low CFM ratings. If you don't need a lot of air (Higher CFM) they are a great option. I've moved to mostly cordless for all my tools and use a 5510SE for airing tires and running a brad nailer.

I actually made a video about that one with a side by side like that above against my old compressor:

Some people might be suspcious of CAT's own videos but they really are extremely quiet.

I have the 2 h.p. 10 gallon unit. Its awesome. Sold my 5 hp 60 gallon compressor becuase i didn't want the noise. Just sprayed a shed and an entire kitchen with a full size conventional pressure pot spray gun. Worked awesome.

I got the same one from Home Depot. I waited until the last second and got one of the last ones in the store on clearance for $99, pretty good deal. Too bad it wasn't a regularly sold model, although they have another single tank model now that looks very similar to the CAT stuff, I haven't checked to see if it is or not. Always nice to know there's a place to go for parts. I'm a pretty light user on air so I imagine it will last a good long while.

I think any of the Husky "Silent Flow" ones are made by California Air Tools and rebranded for HD.
