You might try Butch Behm @ 760 378-2008 in the Kern River Valley just outside Bakersfield.
When I spoke to him several years ago he specialized in pole construction and at that time had a ready supply of poles. He and his son have done several jobs for me over the years.
Thanks CB, I had a nice talk with him, but it seams that pole barns are unobtainium in CA due to our strict permitting. He can only build his fine barns up in the hills as non permitted AG buildings.
