Calling a Plumber...quick question..

I replaced the Moen cartridge single handle shower faucet today because it had a slight drip that drove me nuts. All went well...but my question is, do I tighten the screws that hold the faceplate until they bottom out? I don't want to over tighten the screws and cause too much tension on the lines and valve.

My house piping is CPVC and don't want to break the lines.

Thanks in advance for the help

No, tighten them only enough to snug the escutcheon up to the wall.

A_P, after a quick googling, I now have a new word for my vocabulary though I still do not know how to pronounce it correctly, even after reading the pronunciation "/iˈskəCHən/".
