Riddle me this. Not CMU but exterior finish grade stonework being cut straight. Whether it be brick, or stone slabs being cut down into 12" tile squares, etc

Is a cutoff saw good enough in the right ~hands~ and be good enough for finish work vs. rough work. Or is a masonary saw with a fixed blade and a sliding table a must.

I saw the work up close today. Did not look much. 2 granite slabs were laid as porch deck and where the corners were cut for a miter - I would not have cut a check until it was done right. Pretty brutal, even with mortar filling in the ****** and even with the crappy mortar, it was sharp on one corner if your hand against the miters from right to left.

The homeowner likes the job so beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
