i would hold out for a better krl box as a friend of mine has the 78 and i the krl 761 his 78 is not built as good as mine

its a nice box not as deep as a krl but it looks really clean tho id say 1700 or less would make a good deal not 2100

A KRL is the next tool box line above the one in the original post which is a KRA. Basically the KRL line is the best.

I seem to recall seeing quite a few of those over the last year on CL for 1300-1700

I have nothing against KRA boxes, but I will say its worth a few hundred more for a KRL if you get the chance.

start looking for a KRL series

I wouldn't consider that a good deal. I advertised a nice Classic 78, on CL for about 3 months. Started out asking around $2000 and finally came down to $1500 and still couldn't get rid of it. My Snap-on guy put it on his truck and sold it for me. It sold pretty quickly, since he financed it for the buyer. IIRC he sold it for $2500, and I got $2000.
