You're missing the little hex key stub that goes from the socket into the ratchet to drive the sockets. May be missing one small socket also.

Yes the hex insert and if I remember right it was tapered to flat on one side. I believe 1 socket also. These are a harder sell now a days but in good news it is name brand for that style of kit and in good shape.

You are missing the little hex-shaped drive connector and one of the sockets.

Those are fairly common, actually.
Some Ebay sellers seem to think otherwise:

1454 Indestro 19-piece hex-drive socket set
$60 + shipping (OBO)
http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-IND...979150?hash=item33aa82028e:g:bPEAAOSw0HVWEI6h

1454 Indestro 19-piece hex-drive socket set (ad says 18)
$40 + shipping (OBO)
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-18-...010095?hash=item25b296b0ef:g:CsgAAOSw7FRWZHbw

another 1454 19-piece hex-drive socket set (missing pieces, pretty rough)
$16.19 + shipping
http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-IND...039023?hash=item48869c5a6f:g:qPEAAOxykUZTe-LT

yet another 1454 19-piece hex-drive socket set (all there so you can see all the parts)
$21.99 + shipping
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Indestro-Mf...669585?hash=item35f7251651:g:OMQAAOSwgyxWU7SB

much smaller early vintage NOS hex drive socket set:
$35 incl. shipping
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-18-...010095?hash=item25b296b0ef:g:CsgAAOSw7FRWZHbw

At least a couple of those above have been on Ebay for weeks. They're not what could be considered a "hot item" by any stretch of the imagination.
While the asking prices on a couple of those are high, they're not selling.
If they were a "rare" "vintage" super-hard-to-find-and-in-high-demand item, that NOS set I cited just above would have sold by now. It's been listed for several weeks now.

If you're looking to make a killing selling old used tools on Ebay, you need to go out and find a mess of nice =V= or -V- or BE Craftsman stuff. Then you can name your own price and people will go crazy trying to outbid each other for it:

Craftsman BE 1/4" drive 12-piece socket set
$94.99 + shipping - 0 bids so far - "buy now": $125 + shipping - 4 days left on auction
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Indestro-Mf...669585?hash=item35f7251651:g:OMQAAOSwgyxWU7SB

Craftsman =V= 1/4" drive 15-piece socket set (in a rusty box, no less)
$60 + shipping "buy now"
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vtg-Craftsm...:g:7bwAAOSw8-tWXjHS&item=281886236882&vxp=mtr

They can ask for that price but they probably won't get that price

If you have a Bluepoint engine fan ratchet wrench the 1/2" hex drive matches making it easy to use larger sizes not offered by Bluepoint.

I bought the same set the OP posted for maybe $12.00 frt. prepaid a couple years ago. Nice deal on a nice unused set. I'd just wait until one shows up at a decent "Buy It Now" price.

Just an aside:

"Indestro" hex-drive sets are not well known coast to coast. Indestro had lousy representation and market share in the western US.
So consider another brand which one might reasonably assume had better brand recognition and was distributed at the retail level all over the North American continent: "Dunlap" - Sears' "second" low-budget hand tool line.

Dunlap 19-piece hex-drive socket set
$5.00 + $13.52 shipping. 0 bids so far. auction ends Tues. 12/22
http://www.ebay.com/itm/311506502420?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

Dunlap 20-piece hex drive socket set
$14.95 + $6.45 shipping "buy now"
http://www.ebay.com/itm/381494582711?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

Go ahead and put both of those on your watch list. Wait while nothing happens. Brand recognition doesn't seem to have any bearing on it - the old hex-drive sets just don't seem to be much in demand this week.

On the other hand:
An Indestro "Classic" 3/8" drive 1-piece socket set in the original box went from $20 yesterday to $21 this afternoon, before it was bid up to $35 in the last 20 seconds.
Still not a "hot item" though.

The one to watch tomorrow will be this sleeper:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/351603177057?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

(I'm guessing upwards of $60, but I could be off by 10 bucks either way.)

That set looks like something that Aunt Millicent would have mounted on the back of the pantry door, and yet know nothing about it, except that the new savings and loan gave it to her for opening a new account.

Dunlap was probably made by Indestro.

not a clue. Dunlap was Sears' "second" line. they sold tons of it. go to Ebay and search "Dunlap tool" and you'll get 715 ads right now.
Sears' other "second" line was "Companion". I have no idea who manufactured either of them. probably find it at AlloyArtifacts.com

to further underscore my statement above about the early "vintage" hex drive sets, why hasn't this one gotten any action yet:

8-piece 7/16" hex drive 1922 Antique socket set manufactured by the New Britain Tool Company
amazingly good condition. (almost looks like it's been "restored")
$9.99 + $8.63 shipping. 0 bids so far. auction ends Monday, 12/28
http://www.ebay.com/itm/331736239036?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

not one bid yet? for a lousy ten bucks? really?
