Harry: is the vise yours? can you take a few from above it so we can maybe help you? is there any writing on it? looks like a nice Wilton power arm that it's sitting on, but i've never seen that style vise so maybe some of the machinists will have and know what it is. how does it work because it looks like it would be a very handy vise.

also welcome to the garage journal forum and hope you stick around to learn or teach us what you know.

good luck

drivesitfar, I can take the pictures but I have not figured how I get them on here. I had my son post first pictures. I bought this at an auction mainly for the powrarm jr. but its too nice of a combination to split up but would like to know what vice is designed for. The only markings I have found on vise are the numbers 9-308 on the movable jaw. The jaws are 2 inchs and it is 1.75 inch high. The jaws have 2 small springs to push them apart and the cam closer has a spring to cushion the closing. Looks to be made with the same mounting dimensions as my 920 bullet vise that is designed for this powrarm jr. Thanks for your interest and I'll try to get a couple of more pictures on here. Thanks

Harry: When you make a new post look just above where you are writing your post and click on the paperclip and a box should appear so you can download up to 7 pics per post. Ask questions if You still need help. Cool vise and I might keep it as is and look for another power arm

As you have probably guessed, the vise was not original to the Wilton Power arm. I wouldn't feel bad about separating the two items at this point. Now the question is: what is the vise? Can you take some more photos?
