Cambell Housfeld Compressor

First post so be gentle. I have read lots here about this subject and am now convinced bigger is better. My original plan was a 33gal Craftman. Now I am thinking of going bigger. However, I am not a ********* mech or even carpenter. My budget will not alow $500+ for a compressor.
I saw a CB 7hp 60gal for only $375.
3.2 running hp
10.2 scfm @ 90psi.
Says it a cast iron cylinder pump.

It is at Tractor Supply, flyer in the paper so I can't send a link etc.

I have a 5hp 27 gallon, from Tractor supply. It seems to work good for me even though it is not same brand is one you are looking at. All from same mfg plant overseas most likely. My suggestion is to open box and make sure all parts are there. Mine did not have oil fill plug. I have ordered two replacements and still has not been delivered 3 weeks later. I requested one week ago to have plug from display model at tsc. Went in Last weekend, talked to manager about returning it and taking my business elsewhere. They gave me plug of display model . Could have saved me two weeks of ****. Would have been pissed off if the weather would have been nice last weekend.

Check out Harbor freight for campbell hausfeld compressors. A guy I know found a TRUE 5hp unit for something like 475$ on clearance or somethign. Shop around

Thats not a bad price. I almost want to say look for a more powerful one that's used, but I don't think you will be too disappointed with this one. It's certainly big enough for the impact wrench and ratchet. Will do OK wil a LVLP spray gun. Might get a little annoying if you're die grinding alot.

Thanks for the feedback, I will use it mostly for impact, ratched, nail guns.
Maybe some light paint at some point.

I will look around at Harbor Freight before I purch.
Also make sure all parts are there.

If you plan on painting at any time and using an HVLP gun, you need 60 gallon tank at a minimum. It should also spec out at 12-13 CFM @ 90PSI. An 80 gallon is better, but for $500 you should be able to pick up a single stage comp that will meet those specs. Try Lowes or HD. Mine is a 2-stage Curtis 80 Gallon, 24 CFM @ 120 PSI and still comes on when I paint or use a heavy air tool for a long time. By the best you can afford!
