Hi all I'm replacing a small condo deck with Ipe and came across this concealed fastener system. Anyone like it? Alternative suggestions? Mostly like not having to measure out and pre drill 225 some odd fasteners. Nice that it spaces the boards for you too.

I used it on my small deck. It worked very well, clean look . Screws were easy to drive with an impact driver. My deck was composite. Ipe tends to be very hard but I would think the Camo screws, being self-drilling would work well. I did load the screws into the guide and then applied the impact ,working the open side first then the joint side from the previous board.

Just read this on HD website:

Thank you for your CAMO question.

If your deck boards measure more than 1" in thickness, then we recommend you utilize the CAMO 2-3/8" Edge Deck Screws. For Ipe decking, we also recommend using our 316 Stainless Steel fasteners, to prevent tannic reactions that may occur due to the acidity of Ipe. You also will want to pre-drill, due to the density of the deck boards and softer nature of the stainless steel fasteners. All the CAMO Marksman Tools will work with the CAMO Edge Deck Screws, regardless of screw length. Thank you for viewing this CAMO product!

Following up to say this worked very well with my own 3/16in drill bit but importantly: Camo's T15 driver which has a shoulder stop on it.
