Saw this stuff at the local Lowe's the other day....

My first thought was that may be cool for the interior walls of a
garage... A bit more pricey than sheetrock at $14 a sheet, but
has a coolness factor and eliminates the need to paint it. Also
stronger than sheetrock making hanging shelves and whatnot a
bit easier. My main concern is the dark color making the garage
feel dark and gloomy inside.

What do you guys think? Ignoring the price, would you use it
in your garage?

I wouldn't use it in my garage, but it would definitely look cool in my deer stand!

They just had a bunch of badly stained OSB at the mill and decided to label it "camo" and charge a premium price to any rednecks that buy it.

No idea what the intended purpose is... hunting blinds maybe?

Yea I figured it probably wouldn't be a good idea... The reason I
even thought of it was because of a previous thread here where
there was discussion of using OSB or plywood on walls instead of
sheetrock... camo is pretty cliche now and does cast a redneck
stigma I suppose but seemed it would be better to look at than
unpainted OSB would. IMO that stuff really looks like ****...

This might look like **** also, at least on a wall

That is awesome. $14 a sheet for 7/16" is cheap too. It was $18/sheet for reg stuff here last week when I priced it. (building a shed)

The camo OSB is available in my local Lowes also. It would be way too dark for a workshop or garage where you need to see details, in my opinion. I have a friend and his wife who are so diehard in hunting, that they had their sofa upholstered in camo.

Dayum, just Dayum.

I don't consider OSB a material that I'd ever leave exposed in any interior or exterior application and I'd never put camo-anything inside a building..so the idea that this even exists is odd to me. I am baffled by the whole "camo-as-fashion" thing and unless this stuff is just a seasonal novelty item for deer hunters to build blinds (if that's it...then it's kinda cool) then I just don't know.

It is in most lowes now adays. I thought it was cool at first sight, but when i looked closer, its just a really, really thin sticker ontop of OSB. It will fall apart (just like osb) if its left outside. ITs too dark for inside. There are not even camo seam strips to cover the seams. I wouldn't use it on anything. Camo accents in the right hunting cabin/man cave might be nice, but camo walls would be overboard. I wouldn't recommend it.

OH, and it only comes in one pattern......

yeah, it's at the lowes in York, PA as well. I thought it was stupid. as JKTruck was saying, it is just a thin sticker....

If it had been an actual vabor barrier coating like the zip sheeting, then it might actually be worth $14 a sheet....

I have a feeling this camo OSB is going to bomb.... maybe it will eventually be an opportunity for cheap OSB......

Camo should only be used for Hunting, Wal-mart shopping and Bristol(Sarah Palin's Kid) and Levi's Wedding. Yep, Camo wedding(classy).

I live on a wooded lot and this would be great to use on a new detached garage so the real estate tax assessor wouldn't see it.

Leave it to Mossy Oak to find another product to get their name on. Has to be one of the best marketing strategies around right now.

I bought some of this on clearance after last years deer season was over in Ohio. something like $7 a sheet.

Used it for some shelves I was making. Like said above it is basically a big sticker on 1 side. Other side looks normal. Ended up using the camo side up as the wife felt it was easier to slide plastic bins on the smooth surface.

$14 per sheet? That's double what "normal" OSB goes for around here(GA).

When was the last time you priced OSB? starting at the begining of this year it started to creep up, then the haiti earthquake hit it and and it jumped another $6-$7.

I built my garage last fall at 4.70 a sheet. Its now $14 locally

I just paid $9.77 a sheet for regular 7/16" at Home Depot. Lowe's has it for $9.28.
