Started with this and ended up with a frame, it’s sat like this frame for almost two years

All in all I broke even. It was $200 and I found a B&W turnover ball in the storage area
Anyway I got talked into turning it into a trailer to use for sxs or a few atvs or something. Nothing heavy as I know it’s not designed for any real weight.
Plan of attack. Torch off all the stuff that’s not needed, next I’ll use some 2x2 angle to widen out the trailer deck. I’ll attach one piece horizontally and then another piece to the bottom of the beam and edge of the horizontal piece, To form a triangle. I plan next to build an outer frame to hold the deck boards on using some 2x2 angle again.
Next I need to address this mess

My idea is to flow the red lines and taper down the tip deck and attach what’s needed for a real goose neck receiver. I’m debating weather I try and bend the two existing rails in to center after cutting out the **** or so I just hack it off and plate the outside of what’s left.
There will be some plates going on the vertical beams that hold the tongue. 3/8 steel is my plant and some 45degree angles. Not real science here but looking for ideas or a better direction.
Here it sits today
