Ok, I have a Campbell hausfeld 2 stage air compressor, I am getting tired of getting on floor to drain water out. I spent over a hour at lowes, then a plumbing supply company then ace hardware and Napa auto. No one could figure out how to remove screw and add like a 90* and run a pipe out 12” then add a shut off valve.

So only thing I learned today is that it’s left hand threads and size is 3/8 and the thread is 24.

So if someone could help me I’d appreciate it thank you.

I screwed 1/4” street ell into the bottom of my tank and nippled over to a Ball Valve that I can operate with my foot.
Too old to bend over and too lazy to fabricate a reach rod.

I did what Nadogail did except after the street ell i used an adapter to 1/2 pipe,

Then I used a length of 1/2 brass pipe,

Then I used the ball valve,

Now when the water accumulates it goes into the 1/2" pipe instead of laying on the bottom of the compressor and I have en easy way to drain.
