I have a small oil-less Campbell Hausfeld air compressor that the pressure switch has quit working properly. This switch has a built in pressure regulator and the replacement is around 80.00. I can get pressure switches for around 20.00 but they don't have the regulator. I never use the regulator so can I use the pressure switch without the regulator?

Yes, you can. They are two separate pieces. The new regulator will most likely no match with the hole in the plastic cover. I recommend get rid of the whole switch regulator setup and replace w new one. Don’t forget the safety valve.

you "should have " a regulator , and they are relatively inexpensive
don't cheap out on the pressure switch, I did once & it was a total POC , ended up replacing it again in a week.
everything is fairly universal , just need to re-plumb everything . as already mentioned be sure to use the safety valve, hook up the unloader, adjust the new pressure switch to the same as the original. forget trying to reuse the existing plastic dashboard

I have the same compressor. What did you end up doing about the pressure switch. Did you replace the whole regulator/switch?
