It doesn't come close to the 3 gallon HDX compressor for $29 clearance deal at HD about two months ago. It came with a similar accessory kit. Mine hasn't burnt out yet, after light use.

The Sears kit with a brad nailer is worth considering in the under-$100 price range.

Short answer NO!!! My mother-in-law/husband bought one and I used it a few days ago to add air to his truck tires, which has been sitting for some time and two of those tires have slow leaks. To start with it took a good 5-6 mins just to fill the tank, then at least 3-10 minutes per tire to top off. Most air I had to add to the worst tire was a bit over 20 lbs. Least was 6-8 lbs. The entire ordeal with a bit of rest for the compressor in between tires was around 1 hour.

Not sure what the CFM rating is on it, but I would've been better off with a bike tire pump, which I have used for vehicle tires many times. Even worse than the lack of output was the noise. Outside at 10-12 feet away I should've had ear protection.

For those looking for a light/compact compressor check this one out...

I did have one and was impressed with the quality/performance for the price range. 0-150psi takes a bit over 40 seconds (timed it) and surely would be great for adding air to tires, etc. Only issue I had with it is the noise level. Wanted a small compressor for apartment living and this fit the bill till I ran it a few times. Is advertised at 79db which would be quite tolerable and comparable to my small shop vac, Rainbow house vacuum cleaner, etc., but it seems alot louder than the rating. Ran it maybe 10 mins, boxed it back up and returned without question.

As already mentioned. No. Dont waste your money. I bought one 'cause of its small size. IT *****! slow to fill, and super loud. I use it for a 23g nailer, which is all its good for. I'm hoping it craps out soon, so I can replace it.
