I have a C-H water trap on my compressor, and yesterday I pushed the rubber valve on the bottom to blow some of the water out of the trap, like usual, and it didn't seal back up...

I pulled the trap off, and took the rubber valve off, and pulled the nail shaped doohickey, wiped it off good, and put it back together, still leaking...

Any suggestions? I mean other than the obvious one that involves a trip to the store and handing my hard earned money to a cashier.

Yes I spelled it wrong in the subject line.

I have seen these CH water traps on Ebay for $2.-$6. I'm sure they work for a wile but i guess the question is whats your time worth to keep working on it?

Ya gave it a try on the fix and it didnt work out so i would have to go with " buy a replacement" .
