Hello.. This is my 1st post here.. Thanks in advance for any input... I figured that with so many knowledgeable people in one place I'd have a good chance that someone knows this piece... I've scoured, not only this site, but google images, other tool/machine/compressor forums, manufacturer archives.. etc.. I'm yet to make a definitive ID.. I've come close.. but no cigar.. so here we go.. I'll get better pics as I have acquired this compressor now and can take better/more pics later.. it's pouring rain now and it's tarped outside..

it's an aluminum 2 stage pump.. well, it looks aluminum.. it may just be painted silver.. looks like the paint is checking on the front.. i'l have to verify that too.. with intercooler (not much of one).. it's on an 80 gallon tank.. 5 HP Baldor 1725rpm L1410T.. tank says certified by "Buckeye Compressor".. which i checked with.. they offered no help.. i was told by the original owner (he said anyway) that it was 12 years old.. looks older to me.. but it could be just because it's dirty... i don't necessarily think this pump is original to the tank (but could be) because it's got a piece of angle aluminum making up the extra width to accommodate the wide pump mounting base.. it may be factory, but I'm not sure.. it looks like they shoe-horned a big pump on a narrow plate.. i found pictures of 2 other "buckeye" units with this pump... but no details about model number or anything like that.. i suspect it's a "generic" pump that was sold by several compressor makes under different names.. i saw an Ingersoll that was very close.. at least the same pump manufacturer.. it was single stage.. this one is 2 stage.. it has no casting numbers or data plates on it.. just one number lightly stamped in the front cover.. 6EN97188 best i can make out.. google brings back nothing on it..

anyway, any help with a make/model.. or even info from one of the manufacturers that used them.. I'd like to find out specs.. and if parts are available and possibly a manual/parts diagram etc..

Here are the pics.. Thanks again for any help

Looks like an ABAC B6000. You are correct, these pumps have been used by many different companies for their cheaper units. Beware, we once had a DeVilbiss and and IR in the shop with these pumps on them. We tried to make one good one out of the two but everything was half a bolt hole out when we tried to put it together, leading me to believe each company had a deal for a unique pump so you would have to buy parts from them to repair it. On the other hand, the pump itself may have had a revision in specifications. Who knows. They certainly weren't anything to get excited about anyway. They seemed to take out the small ends quite rapidly. If it's shot, I wouldn't bother fixing it unless you can get parts very cheaply. Check Mastertool.

Definitely doesn't look like the factory pump on that tank.

Thank you, MacMcMacmac.. That's it alright.. I appreciate the info.. I had found out it was used by a lot of manufacturers.. even found some model numbers for the whole assembly.. but no solid info on the pump.. i have no plans of spending much on it.. oil change, maybe rear seal if it leaks a bunch.. maybe not.. I own it dirt cheap as it is.. good Baldor motor.. tank is ok.. needs a starter.. figure it will make a good platform for a Quincy 325 when the next craigslist deal comes along.. till then just gonna run it and see what happens.. it's just for my home shop, so it's not going to see much action..

Thanks again for your help..
