I don't know the model # but you did okay. I'd call Snap On to see about getting a handle. Probably check eBay for the badge if you wanted it, and the lock.

If you want to freshen up the paint, Rustoleum Sunrise Red is a close match.

The model number is usually stamped on the back. It can be hard to find, but look carefully with a flashlight at an angle and you should be able to located the model number; probably starts with KR or KRA then some numbers. The website Collecting Snap-On has the old catalogs scanned, so you should be able to find your toolbox.

Ohmthis, I plan on cleaning it up and give it a repaint. It already has a crappy repaint on the outside of it, hell I can't make it any worse. The previous owner already did enough damage to it. I'm just going to use it for more tool storage. I might get a new handle and lock for it, depends on how much it will cost me.

Cowboy, sounds good! I had a true snap on road box and sold it. I kick myself because it was big enough and definitely tough enough for some heavy machine tools.

Looks exactly like my KRA 58C.

PS, mine looks much better than this now. I put chrome trim on the drawers and polished it all up.

Just bought a lock yesterday for the '66 model KRA58 I'm cleaning up. Tried a Home Depot lock that they advertise as a mail box lock. It was too short, so I stopped by my local locksmith and found a lock that fits just right for $10. Universal cams and all.
