WTF is THAT?? Never seen anything remotely like it. It also looks one piece... no weld line...

Otherwise, yeah. Charles Parker 975.

I'm wondering the same thing.
At first I thought it was just some random piece of scrap sitting on it. But now that I look again, it just lines up and "fits" too well for that.

I'm taking a wild plung here but that Parker might have just been made by Union Tool Co. for Parker. Its in too good of condition not to have any paint anywhere on it.Union vise also left off the Pat. Dates and did not paint their vises. Remember, its a wild guess!! Good luck!!

I called Charles Parker IV and he said that is one of his vises. I think that vise has a zit that perhaps Clearasil and a grinder could fix. Actually is just a normal Parker 975. Mr. Parker told me tha OSHA required that "bump" as a safety stop to keep folks from running the dynamic jaw out and onto their toes. That model is called the 975DA...for dumb a#$

Well, the auction was today, but it bid up to $110.00 which was way out of my range.

Turns out it was a magnet on there after all.
