It's a 5" vise marked Milwaukee Machine and Tool No. 865. I've exhausted all my google skills.

Judging from all the other Milwaukee vises I found on google (not same model, but same maker) they appear to be imports. Especially the way the jaws are set.

That looks like a Wilton/York design with hidden slide. Not to say it's bad, but not the quality of Wilton. Looks like it may have a swivel base, which is nice.

If I needed a vise, 40-50 bucks would be ok.

Where is your location? Out here in SoCal you can get a 4/5" Wilton for that much if you look for a couple weeks.

Just got a reply from Milwaukee. BTW, vise and table were $20. Here's the reply:

Hello

Yes, that's an old one. We manufactured those back in the 50's and 60's. That line of vises was discontinued in 1969 to make room for the Morgan vises. In February 1970 we finalized the purchased of the Morgan Vise Company and move it from Aurora Illinois to Milwaukee Wisconsin. Let me know if you have any other questions.
