Can anyone here Anodize

I need a small piece or two anodized. The local guys are only willing to do bigger orders and not my small pieces.

I want them black, which is a common color. Anyway, let me know if you can do it or someone here knows someone that will

Just for info, the anodize itself is clear (no real color, looks like alum color) and then it is sealed with a dye that makes it have the black color. The sealing is what gives the improved corrosion resistance. Anodize is alum oxide that is on the alum surface in a thicker layer than you could get by chemical conversion coating (known as alodine).

There's lots of info online for doing this yourself. It's actually pretty easy. I've done it with a bucket, battery charger, some battery acid, and fabric dye.

A few years back I set up a full blown ano line. By the time I was done getting it set up properly I was 3K deep and I only did one color other then a clear hard coat. During my learning curve I also found out that black was THE hardest color to do correctly. So doing a home based kit is not something I suggest.
