Can anyone id these super short sockets?

They say USA on them, very short, the 7/16 is worn pretty good, missing a 1/2 and 9/16, would but a new set of I can figure out what they are. I think they are very old.

I know I have some in 1/4" square drive, and I either have, or have seen some in 1/4" hex drive. I don't know who made them.

They look like economy line sockets from G.M.Co. or Oxwall, probably from the 50s.

For some reason, Meteor is coming to mind. Though Oxwall would make sense.

Nope, gone since like 1967, based on google books appearances.

Don't know much about G.M. MFG., but I found this little 1/4 drive socket set when I was going though some box lots that I bought some time ago. Looks like I'm missing 3 sockets and a 3" extension. Little bit of WD-40, and ratchet works like new. I'm guessing somewhere around 1920's. Sockets are...

G.M. Mfg. Co. is marked a bit differently.

Meteor Mfg. Co. is marked completely different - they used a knurled band.

If you want a new version, look up Astro Nano sockets. There are multiple other companies that make/sell them, as well

These are metric. Just a wild guess, but they probably make them in SAE as well.

Those look a lot like my VIM Dual Drive sockets, and probably have the same manufacturer in Taiwan. Very handy for limited-access jobs.
