Seem to be some kind of countersink or general drilling tool, with a stop built in. I ended up with a bunch of them I found in a tool box I purchased, I think they are for aerospace work, but I’m hoping someone knows more than me. The drill bits have these weird circular inserts that sit in them and can be removed. I’d like to get rid of them but maybe they are useful for some other applications? Any info would be greatly helpful.

I found a few years ago, mine had various diameter pilots too, I thought with counterbores, not just countersinks

micro stop countersinks. Made for aircraft construction but work for any countersinking operation that needs exact depth. Very handy for woodworking or metal working. I have had one over 50 years and still sharp enough to do woodworking.. Zepher is one of the makers of them and have a full catalog of them in all different sizes , pilots and angles.

We called them countersink cages. When using on aircraft, the countersinks were mostly 100 degree. Very few were 82 degrees.

Thanks everyone for the wealth of knowledge. There was definitely some cool stuff in the tool boxes but these were all I couldn’t ID. Living in a big military/aerospace town sometimes stuff like this shows up.
