Can anyone ID this Mac tool box?

I'll be picking this up in a few weeks -- one of my late dad's. My 13-year-old son and I will clean it up (and the presumed KRA 352 it sits on) so that he can have his own tool cart. He has a mechanical aptitude, which I'd like to foster.

I've had no luck finding any late 70s or early 80s Mac catalogs online. Does anyone have an idea what model this might be?

I don't know the model number of that one. I'm thinking it looks newer than early eighties to me. Maybe mid to late '80s?

Nice looking box, not all that big but definitely a good starter box.

Finally got a chance to see. It's a Mac MB513. It sits atop a Snap On KRA 545 made in Canada, what I presumed from online esearch was a 352.

Hello:
I posted a thread 2 weeks ago or so asking the same question on a box I picked up for my grandson for xmas. We cleaned it up and he received it for xmas. I was told this box was produced between 1975-1980. The telltale sign was the lettering on the handles I was told. I was surmised how heavy and well built the box is compared to my Craftsman. Good luck on your refurbish, a good project for you and your grandson.

Hey there. I see your post now. You did a great job on that toolbox! What a great gift for your grandson.

Someone must have lost the key for this one. They removed the cylinder and put this latch for a padlock on it. Also, they repainted the lid, it appears.

I hope that we start cleaning it up next weekend. It's not quite as in good a shape as your appears to be, but it's free and it was my dad's.

Very nice. I'd like to get one like that.
