Looking to buy this 3/4 impact, guy says he hooked it up to a small compressor and it just barely turned the gun. If I can get a rebuild kit for it, I may pick it up. Anyone know what model number it is?
Impact guns are about the easiest to rebuild, if you can buy it right, just go for it. If it doesn't work on a large compressor, then pull it apart and clean it up. I bet it would only cost $25 or so to get new bearings.
The guy is asking $50 for it. I'd be happier buying it knowing that I could fix it, vs not being able to get parts for it and it setting on the shelf for 20 years.

The bearings would be available from any good supplier, you would just need to measure them. The guts essentially consist of phenolic vanes that use air to spin the anvil. Those usually get gummed up and stick allowing air to flow by too easily. If they are worn down too much, I have made new ones from assorted materials with mixed results. The impact parts would be the issue if they were totally destroyed, but that is most likely not the case. If it had been underwater and everything that could rust was rusty, I would be more concerned.
