I ran around to a few yard sales, and a pawn shop or two today and picked up some stuff. I can't seem to identify this butterfly gun though? I figured since it worked and was marked $5 it couldnt hurt.

While i have a post, I might as well show off what else I bought..
I picked up two seperate SK socket sets, both 1/2 SAE sets. I bought the first one at a yard sale, and paid $30...with an SK breaker bar and a few extensions. I found the second set at a pawn shop later that day...identical sets. I paid $25 for the pawn shop set, but got a craftsman breaker bar, a flex head ratchet and a few more sk extensions. I figured it never hurt to have extra sockets.

Same pawn shop I picked up some swivel sockets, no real complete set but I paid $20 for these; 3 sk's, 3 snap on, 1 matco, and the extension is a mac.

Dunno what the story is on these air guns, but I picked the IR (marked cornwell) at a yardsale for $10. I paid $20 for the craftsman at a pawn shop.

I picked up some other assorted tools as well, just no pics of the rest. I'd say its been a good day.I was just excited..because usually i NEVER find anything good! I have never found this many tools in one day!
but I really am looking to find the details on that butterfly gun:beer:

Nice finds. Sorry, I couldn't figure out the butterfly impact either.

I picked up a cheap Snap-On 11/16 "standard length" combo wrench on Ebay for $2.00 plus $4.** shipping. Nice wrench, I think it is an older one.

The butterfly may be an Astro Pneumatic.

Good find on those S-Ks.

There are only a couple of pawn shops around here. One of them wants outrageous prices for everything, and I'm guessing they haven't actually sold anything in 20 years...;)

The other is very reasonably priced, but usually doesn't have much (probably because it has already sold). I have made a few good deals there.

Good buys there, congrats. Yea, the pawn shops here also want huge prices. Garage sales this weekend I picked up two snap on pickle forks and a medium sized two jaw puller for $15 on Friday and Saturday morning got a snap on ratcheting screwdriver in its plastic box with all the bits and a leatherman multi tool for $20.

I know the butterfly isn't a Astro Pnuematic, however it has to be pretty old, if it is who I think it is. I don't know how long it's been since they got out of the air TOOL business, but they now only sell compressors. I think it's a line that Quincy Air used to import and brand as their own.

Back to the butterfly, I thought I remembered that lower case "a" as being in the Astro logo. Perhaps they have a new logo, but their current butterfly looks identical:

That makes sense, as that would explain the big "Q".
