Help! This pair of somethings came in in a load of machinist tools, and I haven't a clue to what they are or do. The stamp on the side says, "Metric Eng", and they are made of steel. Anyone else seen these!
Thanks in advance.
Al

I've always called them hold down clamps. I have a set of them floating around my shop somewhere used them for holding a non ferrous part on the surface grinder they were not cheap from what I remember. The set that I have were made by mangalock.

Thanks, guys, mystery solved. I did an image search for hold down clamps surface grinder, and found they are for holding non magnetic items on a mag chuck. Found it on a knife makers web site.
